Excel 2003 vs. 2007 Format

Many businesses have transitioned from Excel 2003 to Excel 2007 (and beyond).  The question then becomes what to do with those old Excel file formats?  Documents created in Excel 2003 are saved in an .xls format.  Documents created in Excel 2007 and 2010 are saved in a .xlsx format.
