Today

For the first few weeks of every New Year I usually write the wrong calendar year. It takes me awhile to account for this subtle change. Thankfully Excel has a function that will never make this mistake. It is a function called Today. This function automatically displays the current date. It’s a great time saver.

1. Type in the following function = Today()

2. Click Enter

Very quickly the current date has been added. This Excel function is very simple because it does not require any variables. Also, as a quick shortcut press Ctrl and : to insert a text version of the current date.
