Benjamin Franklin once said “Lost time is never found again.” Time is a key reference point when working with Excel. Often in the creation of reports understanding the exact time it was created is critical. Excel contains a function which will automatically display the current date and time within a spreadsheet. That function is called Now().

1. Select a cell and type =Now()

a. This function does not need arguments or variables.

2. Excel displays the current date and time based on the regional specifications in the control panel of the computer.

Keep in mind this formula is updated based on the iteration specifications setup in Excel. What do you think is this function helpful?
